Coming Soon...

I had a doctor’s appointment on Thursday and my doctor ended up sending me to the hospital for a sonogram to make sure that everything was okay with the twins. I had decreased fetal movement, especially on one side, and she wanted to make sure my fluid was okay and that the babies were not under stress. The sonogram showed that the babies are doing great! They have plenty of fluid, movement and even a layer of chub. So, they sent me home until next Friday. We have a c-section scheduled for noon this Friday, the 18th, at the Winter Park Hospital. We are so excited and are enjoying this last week at home before the next season of our lives begins with twins! :) Please keep us in your prayers.

More updates to come!

P.S. Thank you, Mom, for my comfy slippers which I plan to wear for the rest of the pregnancy! ...Partly because they are so comfortable and partly because none of my other shoes really fit anymore! :)

It is well with my soul :)

My doctor's appointment went well today. Without going into all the confusing details, I’ll just say, it was very sanctifying. Things not going as I expect are always a good heart check. I am so grateful for the Lord reminding me (in part through my husband and my moms) that he is sovereign over the birth of our babies. It is not ultimately my doctor who is determining things. Even the confusion in communication is apart of his plan. All that said, I have another appointment scheduled for next Thursday and then a “tentative” c-section scheduled for Friday the 18th. I’m not going to set my heart on the 18th though just incase things change. :) And if I go into labor before the 18th, she said they would go ahead and do a c-section then.

I am grateful for the Lord’s timing. I feel ready right now to have these babies but I’m grateful to the Lord for their health and that they are still able to grow as they need to in my womb. The babies are growing and so are my ankles...and as uncomfortable as the next two weeks look, I know they are a blessing from the Lord and I don’t want to waste this precious time. Lord willing, we will see Caleb Andrew Law and Tyler David Law face to face very soon!

Please pray for us during these next few weeks...that I would make the most of this time and that we would bring glory to our Lord by trusting Him and rejoicing in Him no matter what the circumstances.

"I will bless the LORD at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the LORD;
let the humble hear and be glad.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me,
and let us exalt his name together!
I sought the LORD, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed."

Lots of Changes!

So much has transpired over the past few weeks. I am reminded of Proverbs 16:9 which says, "The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps." The Lord is so faithful to establish our steps. Although he already knows the plan he has for us, we just see what's ahead one step at a time. Our joy is growing as we are learning through each step to trust more wholly in our sovereign Lord.

We have been praying about many things this past year and waiting on the Lord to show us his plans for us. One of many answers to prayer is that we've moved! This is a decision we came to through much counsel & prayer. It has been a good walk of faith over these past many months...but that's how we're walk all the days of our lives! :) Our home has not sold and it is now up for rent but the Lord has still moved us on. For awhile, we've also prayed about the possibility of moving in with Aaron's parents for a time. Aaron's brother decided the beginning of March to move out which made us moving in possible. With the twins on their way, the move happened very quickly. We didn't even have much time to let people know we were moving, as it all happened in about a week, but the Lord was faithful to provide all the help we needed. With the doctor's orders for me to be "off my feet," this was quite a humbling task to have set before us. My mom, who is always so eager to serve, ended up staying most of the week with us so that she could help. Friends kept calling saying that they wanted to come and help pack and little bit by little bit, hour by hour, our house was packed up.

It is such joy to be here with Aaron's parents. We know this is where the Lord has us for now and we're so grateful to the Lord and to them!

Quick update on the twins: A little over 2 weeks ago, the sonogram weighed them each in at about 4lbs. 4oz. However, I can feel that they've grown much over the past few weeks. :) They're now over 34 weeks along (breaking Joshua's record of staying in the womb). They're getting much stronger now I love watching and feeling them move all around!

More updates to come...but for now, I'm going to try to get a little more rest before Joshua's nap is up. If I get a chance, I'll post some pictures soon. :)
